The international accredited Austrian label EDITH A´GAY celebrates her newest collection, called "re:vision" fall-winter 2011, catwalk by "READY LAUNCH 2011" in Washington D.C.
The tradeshow of EDITH A´GAY´s collection "re:vision" fall-winter 2011 will presented during the fashion week in New York, by "the train new york".
The inspiration was for the collection "re:vision" fall-winter 2011 the “revision” about the previous collections.
The elements of the current collection relate to those of previous collections like building blocks, but more reduced on cuts and stitches to create more easy feminin, but strong line and
silhouettes. The finest fabrics, like silk-organza or silk, are printed with graphical designs and appear as pictures on the body upon the monochrome background (red, black & white). Together with the bodymovement takes the dresses an another dimension: they becomes signals for a visual communication.
EDITH A’GAY uses the aesthetics of the graphic elements and the reduced cutting lines to bring back and anew define her works in progress.
Edith A'gay lives and works in Vienna, Austria. She graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts Vienna, Institute for Fashion Design in 1997, her professors were included Marc Bohan, Helmut Lang and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Since 2003 she presents her collections seasonally in Paris, and since 2005 in Tokyo.
Edith A'gay describes her unique style as "reduced contemporary elegance for everybody and for every moment, and individually transformable outfits for one's image to celebrate the everyday". In her collections, the usual strong line is combined with fine, erotic and feminine elements.
