The international accredited Austrian label EDITH A´GAY celebrates her newest collection, called "re:vision" fall-winter 2011, catwalk by "READY LAUNCH 2011" in Washington D.C.
The tradeshow of EDITH A´GAY´s collection "re:vision" fall-winter 2011 will presented during the fashion week in New York, by "the train new york".

The inspiration was for the collection "re:vision" fall-winter 2011 the “revision” about the previous collections.
The elements of the current collection relate to those of previous collections like building blocks, but more reduced on cuts and stitches to create more easy feminin, but strong line and
silhouettes. The finest fabrics, like silk-organza or silk, are printed with graphical designs and appear as pictures on the body upon the monochrome background (red, black & white). Together with the bodymovement takes the dresses an another dimension: they becomes signals for a visual communication.
EDITH A’GAY uses the aesthetics of the graphic elements and the reduced cutting lines to bring back and anew define her works in progress.

Edith A'gay lives and works in Vienna, Austria. She graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts Vienna, Institute for Fashion Design in 1997, her professors were included Marc Bohan, Helmut Lang and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Since 2003 she presents her collections seasonally in Paris, and since 2005 in Tokyo.

Edith A'gay describes her unique style as "reduced contemporary elegance for everybody and for every moment, and individually transformable outfits for one's image to celebrate the everyday". In her collections, the usual strong line is combined with fine, erotic and feminine elements.

The Austrian artist Alfons Schilling and his spin paintings are inspiration for the EDITH A’GAY collection spring summer 2010. The paintings transform a schematic, 3D motion (rotation) on 2D canvas. In her collection, EDITH A’GAY uses the aesthetics of the spin paintings as prints, the graphic elements as cutting lines, in order to bring back and anew define the „lost” dimension through body movement. The superior quality of fabrics like silk and organza in unobtrusive colours enhances the visual appearance.

As the title of the collection suggests, the world of emotions has been the inspiration for these pieces.
The collection ‘..feeling’ s/s 09 aims to support women in expressing their emotions in individual ways.
All parts of the collection are clothes for certain moods in specially developed lively colours with symbols and patterns.As an additional feature, unusual accessories have been knitted by hand.
The collection ‘..feeling’ s/s 09 is made mainly from silk,organza and jacquard silk, but there are also natural fibres and special materials wich fit in with this high quality segment.

The Austrian Fashion Guide 03 offers an overview of Austrian designers showing their Spring Summer Collections at the Paris Fashion Week. The Guide is printed in 6.000 copies and distributed to an international audience of buyers, stylists and fashion journalists and has become an established tool for Austrian fashion in Paris! In addition, it provides an A - Z list of Austrian fashion designers.

Mehr als 20 österreichische DesignerInnen, die ab Ende September in Paris ihre Kollektionen für Frühjahr/Sommer 2009 zeigen werden, sind mit je einer Doppelseite und Showroom- sowie Kontaktkoordinaten im Austrian Fashion Guide 03 vertreten. Rund 100 weitere sind im Anhang gelistet. Die in einer Auflage von 6000 Stück produzierte Broschüre wird am für die kommerziellen Shows zentralen Ort, dem Louvre sowie bei den Messen Premiere Classe und Rendez-Vous aufgelegt und an rund 600 EinkäuferInnen und JournalistInnen verschickt.

Modeszene des 7. Wiener Gemeindebezirks

Zusammenschluss von 27 hippen Modeläden präsentiert sich auch national beim 7tm Herbst im MuseumsQuartier Wien (MQ) und im Rahmen zahlreicher Kooperationen

Mit der seit März 2008 tätigen Initiative 7tm sollen die ungewöhnlichsten und spannendsten Modeläden des 7. Bezirks vernetzt und international touristisch beworben werden. „Mischformen“ wie Modeshops mit Frisurenstudio und Designerateliers mit Verkaufstresen werden ganz bewusst einbezogen.

In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich im 7. Wiener Gemeindebezirk eine starke und vielfältige Modeszene entwickelt. Durch 7tm sollen internationale Gäste, TouristInnen und Einheimische Lust bekommen, auf Pfaden abseits der Mariahilferstraße die vielfältigen Shops zu erkunden. In einem Stadtplan-Flyer finden interessierte KonsumentInnen die exklusive Auswahl an Läden, die für jeweils ein halbes Jahr Teil von 7tm sind. „Ziel von 7tm ist es, ein möglichst breites Bild der kreativen Modeszene im 7. Bezirk zu zeichnen“.

Es geht nicht nur um einen Flyer, sondern um leistbare Marketingaktionen für aufstrebende Unternehmen.“ Die Neuzugänge für den im September erscheinenden Stadtplan-Flyer sind - neben Maronski und LILA PIX - Common People, Advanced Minority sowie Edith A’gay.

Collection „Invisible”

The newest fall/winter 08/09 collection called „invisible” of EDITH A´GAY was presented on Friday 27.02.08 in the Goehte Institut Paris, rue 17 Avenau d´Léna near of the Palais Tokyo.
Supported of the austrian e-music group named the „Nu Legé” (Mia Legenstein & Martin Nussbaum), who was composed the music special for the show, and played it live.
In front of the reduced stage design, with long gray strips as background, was the impression of the collection with ground colours of white, red and black most successful.
Edith A’gay’s newest fall/winter 08/09 collection „invisible” transfers the glow of summery warmth to cold winter days.
At first glance, the flecee-lined fine pure-silk outfits seem like delicate summer dresses and evoke a lightness so very untypical of winter collection.
This aesthetic concept is supported by the great attention to detail on the inside of many of the items.
They are lovingly and subtly decorated with various graphic elements wich only become visible when the body moves underneath.
